At The Heart Of Every Sharp Rock Is A Smooth Stone
I lived with my grandparents for the first 5 years of my life. My grandparents would have been in their mid fifties back then and it was a different generation. Life was much slower. I remember Sunday mornings spent on the verandah after church drinking cups of tea and eating freshly baked scones that my grandmother had baked. Neighbours would give us a wave or drop by as they too were heading home from church.
On Sunday we decided to take a leisurely ride out to Boonah and enjoyed a nice relaxed breakfast followed by a ride up to Mt French. We chatted with lots of other friendly motorcyclists over breakfast and soaked in the sense of community. It was great to get out into the country amongst the cows and the kangaroos and smell the fresh country air. It took me back to my childhood and the lazy carefree days.
We finished the day off by catching up with some friends, both old and new, for a late lunch followed by a picturesque ride back home. It was such an enjoyable day and it made my heart happy.

Proverbs 15:13 The Message Bible
|
I love the way the Message bible says this. A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face. What have you done lately that has made your heart happy and brought a smile to your face? Sometimes it’s just the simple things in life that can do this. We think if the house is spotless or all the dinners are prepared for the week or the washing is all caught up then we will be happy. The truth is these things make us feel organized but they don’t necessarily make our heart happy. If you need to put the smile back on your face, get out into the sunshine and do something you love. It may be something as simple as kicking your shoes off and getting your feet wet or laying on a rug in the sun under a tree with a good book or magazine, but this week I encourage you to get out and do something to make your heart happy and smile your way through the week.
Love and Blessings
